How to put on a safe comedy show within Covid Guidelines

Now that things are opening up again, you might be thinking about putting on a comedy show at your venue again, but you may be a bit lost as to how to do it safely.

Let us help you get it right!

Stand Up Comedy Nights have been putting shows on safely for many years, and we have the tools and experience to help you.

Our team have over 20 years of Venue Management, Health & Safety, and Risk Assessment Experience..

The owner of Stand Up Comedy Nights started out as an Operations Manager within a West End Theatre.

With over nine thousand people a week passing through the licensed venue, Risk Assessments of all kinds were essential!

Lewis holds a recognised 'IOSH Managing Safely' certificate which teaches the fundamentals of Risk Assessing, and complying with Health and Safety law.

We have prepared the following information and Risk Assessments to help you prepare your venue, staff, and discuss with venue owners or licensing authorities:

  • Setting up to be Covid Secure Checklist
  • Risk Assessment for Comedy Shows in relation to Covid (also containing information on how to train venue staff and volunteers)
  • Setting up your Venue to be Covid Secure Guidance for organisers and staff
  • Venue Staff Covid Questionnaire (to assist staff well-being)

We also supply all of our performers with Covid guidance and their own Risk Assessment.

So, let's stop worrying and get on with the business of entertaining people again - goodness knows we could all do with a good laugh!

Our Risk Assessments can be accessed on the links on the side of the page - simply email us for access codes at enquiries@standupcomedynights.co.uk .

You may have to make some changes to seating layout, capacities and other aspects, but our documents will give you the tools to carry out everything else.
